A further study of accounting principles and procedures; analysis of financial data; valuable preparation for university and college business or accounting courses.

Administrative Studies -
- BOA OAC
Identify the skills and abilities required for effective business administration; learn to be a business leader/manager; assess your individual leadership style; field work with business executives for an individual case study as part of the independent study.
(Prerequisite - one senior advanced level business or scoial science credit)

Economics -
- BEC 4A
A focus on microeconomics; examine the functioning of the Canadian economy and its effect on your life: wages and salaries, labour market, stock market anaysis, finance; valuable preparation for post-secondary business courses.

- BEC OAC
A focus on macroeconomics; learn economic principles, theory and issues; valuable preparation for univeristy and business. (Prerequisite - one senior advanced level business or scoial science credit)
Law -
- BLW 4G
Develop an awareness of civil, criminal, labour and family law; understand how individuals interact with the law; examine social issues.

- BLW 4A
Examine civil matters, criminal matters, and social issues as they relate to the Canadian legal system; case study analysis and possibly a mock trial.

- BLW OAC
Examine in depth civil and criminal issues in the Canadian legal system.
(Prerequisite - one senior advanced level business or social science credit)

Keyboarding & Desktop Publishing -
- BKI 4A
Beginning keyboarding on computers for senior students; learn touch typing techniques to effectively use word processing for reports, letters and many other types of documents; introduction to desktop publishing; open to any student who wishes to learn touch typing.

- BSI 4A
Advanced work in desktop publishing and design techniques using professional standard desktop publishing and a variety of software; work in the school as administrative assistant through the Student Business Office. (Prerequisite - BKW 3A or BKI 3A)
Notemaking and Research Techniques -
- BSN 4A
Develop research, writing, language and notemaking techniques needed for senior level and post-secondary courses: apply notemaking and computer skills to become more efficient at taking lecture ntoes and writing research papers; learn how to use e-communications and the Internet as research tools; learn to work in study groups and teams to produce projects.
