Information Technology Applications in Business -

Students will use computer technology to perform several business applications, such as file management, software use and techniques, and business document production. Also, students will perform electronic research tasks, explore the concepts and operation of e-business, and learn the fundamentals of web page design. Career and post secondary options in the field of information technology will be investigated.

Introduction to Financial Accounting -

This course is designed as an introduction to financial accounting for thsoe students who hope to pursue accounting/business at the college/univeristy level. This course emphasizes accounting theory, concepts and financial analysis and is open to all grade 11 and 12 studnets.

Introduction to Accounting (Workplace) -
- BAI 3E - Grade 11
(prerequisite for: BAN 4E)
This course introduces students to the nature of accounting; careers in accounting; the accounting cycle; using accounting in decision making. The use of the computer in performing accounting tasks will be emphasized. This course is open to all grade 11 and 12 students who desire a practical approach to accounting as a career option.

Introduction to Entrepreneural Studies / Introduction to Marketing

Introduction to Entrepreneural Studies focuses on ways in which entrepreneurs recognize opportunities, generate ideas, and organize resources to plan successful ventures that enable them to achieve their personal goals by satisfying the needs of others. Students will learn about values, traits, and skills most often associated with successful entrepreneurial activity.

Introduction to Marketing emphasizes the process by which goods and services are exchanged; the factors that affect marketing in a global economy; the influence of the consumer and competition on marketing; the importance of marketing research to business.
