Literacy Test
Filed by AlexV on Wednesday, March 22, 2006
Students may come to room 371 before or after school if they need extra help in preparing for the literacy test on Wednesday, March 29th.

An alpha list of all students who are writing the literacy test is posted in the main showcase by the guidance hallway. In addition, all homeroom teachers who have students writing have been given a list on peach coloured papered. Please advise each of your students where they are writing.

-You will be asked to complete two booklets. Each booklet contains various reading sections, writing tasks, and questions. You will have 90 minutes to complete each booklet. We will take a short break after Session 1.
-If you are retaking the test, you will need to write the entire test.

Where and When
-The OSSLT will take place on Wednesday, March 29. It will take approximately three hours. This does not include the 15-minute break or the instructions or the questionnaire.

Punctuality and Absenteeism
-Is is very important that you be in your seat by 8:30 a.m. to write the test.
-If you are late, you will be allowed to write the booklet being completed at that time, but you will not have the instructions repeated for you, and you will not be given extra time to make up for the time you have missed. Being late will reduce your chances of passing.

What to Bring
-You may use blue or black ink or pencil for all written answers in the booklet, and pencil for making your multiple-choice answers on the Student Answer Sheet.
-You will not require any other materials. Leave your gym bag, backpack, lunch bag and any electronic devices (CD player, cellphone, pager, etc.) in your locker or at home.
