Last Thursday, the Cricket Team, again, created history when ECI won its first ever outdoor match! Most of the responsibility goes to the team captain Amit, who scored 50+ runs and guided his team to victory. The second game was as important as the first, which was against George Harvey. In the 2nd game against Martingrove CI, ECI played very well and fell 40 runs short of the 112 target. Abhijeet scored the highest runs in the game and Mark had some excellent contribution in fielding, and Taronin in bowling. Excellent Job RAMS!!!

It was the game of the century, that was the view of all who attended the West Finals, as the Convener said in his speech afterwards, this is the best finals ever played by two teams.

After a shaky start our Junior Rams walked off the field half-time, down 2 goals to none; only to rebound to score 3 unanswered goals in the second half, to lead 3 - 2. With 2 minutes remaining Vaughn Academy equalized; that goal sent the game into overtime.

In the last minute of double overtime Vaughn Academy scored the decisive goal. We salute our Junior Rams for a job well done. The TEAM-SPIRIT they displayed throughout their season was awesome. Once thing is certain, we will be back, and will not stop until the City Trophy is placed in its rightful place; at ECI!!

Yesterday, ECI's varsity ultimate team competed at the Birchmount Tournament, ECI's beginner team faced tough advanced teams from the York Region. Our Rams played through rain, wind and the stormy conditions. The team made it to the "B" quarter-finals and destroyed the Brampton Knights. During the Semi-Final game, our Rams again came out on top beating a York Region team. Unfortunately, we were beaten in the finals. It should also be known that ECI, out of 20 team at the tournament, finished 1st for overall spirit. Great Job Rams!!

Congratulations to the Girls Softball Team for their amazing performance at yesterday's tournament. They played through the mud, rain, cold and "swimming pool" to show the Catholic Schools what ECI is made of. We fought back after game one loss to win the next 2 games. That put us 1st in our division. We faced the favored Bishop Allen Academy in the Quarter0Finals and beat them to move on to the Semi-Finals against Wexford CI. Unfortunately, our girls were unable to hold on to our 5 - 2 lead and ended up losing 7 - 5. Outstanding playing by Shannon Jarvis, Ame Simpson Parco, Emily Joslin and Sarah Sanders!!!
